Effective October 18, 2017, the HPD added a new section to Chapter 12 of Title 28 of the Rules of the City of New York, allowing owners to post a single notice that incorporates the 3 new notices for gas leaks, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide alarms. If an owner chooses to post a single notice that incorporates and complies with the notice requirements of 28 RCNY § 12-01(b) and (c), 28 RCNY § 12-06(b), and 28 RCNY § 12-11(b), the sample notice below may be used in lieu of the notices otherwise required by 28 RCNY § 12-01(b) and (c), 28 RCNY § 12-06(b), and 28 RCNY § 12-11(b) and shall be posted in a common area of the building, readily visible:
